3 Easy Ways to Simplify Your Business

Simplify your business

Is this you? Never enough time in the day. Feeling completely overwhelmed with everything you have to do. I'm only one person. There are a million things coming from every direction. Sound familiar? Here are 3 easy ways you can begin to simplify your business so that the lack of time and inability to clone yourself don't get you down.

3 Easy Ways to Simplify Your Business

Simplify your business

Let's start by taking a step back and getting real honest with what you are doing everyday.

By being real with yourself and what you are spending your time on, you are recognizing those activities that may not serve you as much as others.

1 - 80/20 Rule

Wanna get super intentional with your time and begin to simplify your business? This may sound too obvious, but when do we actually apply it?

The 80 / 20 Rule implies that 20% of your activities provide you with 80% of the results. So when you put the most effort into the things that are business builders a.k.a the things that you never get to, the things that actually get you results, but take critical time to work through. Yea those...You will begin to see plentiful results. ⠀

Choose focus over doing ALL THE THINGS.

Here's How to Implement the 80/20 Rule:

  1. Make a list of the 10 things you spend the most time on.
  2. Circle 2 that ACTUALLY drive results.
  3. Begin to focus more on those activities rather than that of those that do not get you paid.

You wanna level up your game, get your time back and start focusing on the things that move the needle?⠀

2 - Task Audit

Simplify your business

It's time that you do a deep dive on every task you are performing in your business. Write it all down.

This is one of the hardest activities to complete because it feels tedious and makes us take a hard look at ALL THE THINGS we are doing on a daily basis.

I always tell my clients, circle the items that only you can do.

For example, if you are a coach, you are probably the only one that can do the coaching in your business.

Biggest Priority

Determine the activity that is a "NEED TO DO," today and prioritize it at the top of your list.

Get that activity done first in your day. When you put that first, you will allow yourself to get it done correctly and give yourself time in case it takes longer than expected.

3 - File Management

Simplify your business

Is your google drive or drop box a hot mess? Clear a space on your calendar to do a little CEO summer cleaning.

Before you even jump into your spaces that need a little TLC, create a list on paper. YES, paper.

Then jump in and see if your file folders match up? If not.....let the organization train begin.

Final Thoughts

In order to lead a more intentional business and let your days flow with more ease you gotta give up the things that aren't serving you!

As business owners we feel like we need to do and be everything in order for our business to work, when in reality, all we have to do is give ourselves permission to let go and stop juggling all the hats.

We are always going to win if we focus on the activities that provide us with the greatest results and then sprinkle in the brand awareness or special activities that make our brands unique.
