Manifest and Attract: How to Make your Dreams Come True

The Law of Attraction states that the universe creates and provides that which your thoughts are focused on. “Like attracts like.” By using the power of the mind, you are able to translate your energy and thoughts into manifesting that reality. Manifest and Attract: Keep reading below to learn how to make your dreams come true.

Understanding how the Law of Attraction works will be key to your success.

The first step is to get really clear on what you want. Then you will be able to manifest those wants and desires into a vision to then become a reality.

I want to be very clear that the types of dreams that you are looking to manifest will 100 percent require your own personal effort.

The Law of Attraction is not based on magic or any other type of superstitious activity. It is directly correlated from the way you think on a consistent basis to what you attract in this life.

Does the Law of Attraction Work?

Can you agree that it is hard to believe something if you do not see it?

I would.

As humans, we like tangible items. The kicker is that sometimes we need to see the end before we get there. You don’t buy a house when you are already living in it (most of the time).

You buy it because you see your life in that home. We naturally believe in facts. This is because they are proven to be true. However, there are many other things that we believe in before they happen.

The concept of the Law of Attraction may seem like a far-fetched probability for skeptics; however, I would challenge you to look at it in two ways.

Scenario 1:

When you decide to learn how to ride a bike your parents put you on it with the utmost belief that you would eventually learn how to ride it.

There is no guarantee that you will learn this skill, however they believed that you will achieve this goal in due time.

By focusing on this goal and putting your energy and mind to it, you most likely were able to achieve it.

Scenario 2:

Take for example a time when you are stressed out because you are worried about the following day. Think about when you woke up, did you tell yourself it is going to be a hard day?

If so, you were actually creating a high probability that it would turn out that way. This is because you put your energy into those thoughts rather than thinking other, more encouraging thoughts.

A study by Penn State showed that when people wake up expecting to have a stressful day, that is exactly what they get. This is correlated to reduced memory function based on their mindset.

As per the Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging at the Institute of Neurology in London, "The ability to construct a hypothetical scenario in one’s imagination prior to it actually occurring may afford greater accuracy in predicting its eventual outcome."

So, in laymen's terms, people who visualize their future tend to realize that future.

How Does the Law of Attraction Work?

By getting very clear on what you want, you are defining a vision.

Through creating this vision; what one could call a goal, you have created something to strive for.

By taking the steps to make progress each day, you come closer and closer to meeting your goal.

By putting the positive energy and your vision out into the universe on a consistent basis, you will find that, that energy will come back to you.

One of my favorite speakers, Rachel Hollis once said that you cannot think two things at the exact moment. That said, if you manifest and hold positive and affirming thoughts in relation to your vision, you will consistently put effort into this space.

You will create a mindset that rejects the negative and will continue to find ways to make your vision a reality. The same holds true to negative thoughts. Think about what energy you are putting out there into this world.

The mind is very powerful and what you tell yourself daily has the power to lift you up or bring you down.

Manifesting your goals so that they come true is a similar concept. Just as you need to work to make a living, you need to work at achieving your goals, not just physically, but mentally.

Here are the 7 ways to Manifest Your Vision using the Law of Attraction

1) Elevate your mindset

Your mindset has the power to keep you where you are or propel you forward. If you truly want to change your life and are ready to manifest using the Law of Attraction for your future, then you need to be ready to commit to it.

You will need to ensure that your mindset is accepting of the work that you will need to do to make the dream a reality. If you want to get somewhere then you need to consistently tell yourself you are going to get there.

By putting your mind in an environment that breeds success i.e.) going to school to get an education; you are manifesting your success in the future.

The same goes for a goal or a dream. When you make a decision that you want to get to a certain place in your life, then you will need to put your energy into that space.

You will need to allow patience to take its place in the process. Understanding that to manifest, you will need to make a daily, conscious effort to make these dreams a reality.

Shift your energy and mindset toward those positive thoughts and beliefs that you will get there. Naturally, you will start to gravitate toward that goal and put more energy into it.

2) Write it down

Putting things on paper has a way of telling the brain that this is a real tangible idea/thought/vision/action. Write down your vision. Visualize what you want and be specific.

Here are a couple of ways to become clear on your vision:

  • Create a Vision Board
    • A vision board is a visual representation of the dream you are looking to achieve. It is a really easy way to begin to manifest your goals.
    • Steps to creating a Vision Board that works:
      • Get clear on what you want. Ask yourself these questions and write down all that comes to mind: what does it feel like, look like, smell like, and sound like? What are your needs versus wants?
      • Then prioritize the list and get specific on your answers narrowing down to 5 topics.
      • Prepare your supplies: magazines, scissors, color printer, tape or glue, and markers. Note: You do not need to print, however sometimes it is easier when you are able to print a specific idea if you cannot find it readily available in magazines.
      • Choose the pictures that invoke emotion and be specific. You can also use words to help represent your vision and or trigger the feeling you are looking to achieve.
      • Place your vision board in a place that you will consistently see. Do not put your board in a public place, rather a place that is yours such as an office or a room that you are in often. This will give you a daily reminder of your goals.

  • Journal
    • If the vision board seems a bit out there to you, feel free to utilize a journal.
      • When you choose a journal, be sure to choose one that you like to use as it will provide you with greater enthusiasm to use it.
      • Use your journal to describe your vision. Be sure to include everything. Use all of your senses and create deadlines to represent the ideal scenario you are looking to achieve.

3) Make space in your life for this vision

When you take time to work toward your vision each day, you are giving it that much greater of a chance for success.

Affirmations

Affirmations are a great way to keep your vision top of mind and present in your life.

I used to think that affirmations were a nonsense activity, however as you think about the concept more deeply it makes sense.

For example, if you tell yourself that you are worthy each day you will start to believe it.

If you speak your vision out loud it becomes more real. If you project that you're going to do something then it becomes more tangible.

As you give your goals more space and time in your life, they become more present and more top of mind. The more time you give it the more real it will become.

A great way to incorporate these types of affirmations into your life is to insert them into your morning or evening routine. When you wake up and make coffee in the morning, have your vision present. When you're getting ready in the morning, bring your journal into the bathroom with you. Time is always limited, so make the best use of your time by incorporating your affirmations into something you are already doing.

If you are able to make dedicated time, even 5 minutes of your day, to these affirmations, you will begin to naturally take the steps toward manifesting your vision.

Tell People

By telling people that you are planning to accomplish this goal, you are holding yourself accountable to the goal even further and working to manifest your goal. They may even have some advice on how to get there more easily. What you put out into the world you will get back in dividends.

4) Break Your Vision Down into Milestone Markers

One of the best ways to achieve a goal is to break it down into smaller, more manageable parts.

How should you break your goal down?

Back out your goal. What does that mean? It means that you need to do a little bit of retroactive planning.

Put your end goal with its timeline on the calendar. Then create small milestones in between the start and finish. You can then cross those milestone markers off of your list upon reaching that milestone.

These milestones should be the major stepping stones that need to be done in order to achieve your main goal.

For example, if your goal is to write a book you could set milestone markers such as: Creating an outline, writing each chapter, finding a publisher etc., prior to Publishing and putting the book on the market. Make sense?

5) Take Action

Now that you have dived your goal into milestone markers it is time to work towards that goal. If you really want to dive into how to create "SMART GOALS," check out my blog post here.

Make a To Do List each week

On Sunday of each week, make a list of the things that you can do to get closer to that goal. For example, if you are planning to get your dream job, make a list of the websites that you can use for your search. Then plan out if there is an ongoing search on those sites that can notify you. Next, schedule dedicated time in your week to search for those careers. Make sure that you are incorporating those activities throughout the week and not just on one day so that your goals are top of mind consistently.

As you check off your To-Do List you will find yourself feeling more accomplished. This is because you are taking the steps toward achieving your milestone markers. 6) Celebrate the Small Wins

By celebrating the small things, you are giving yourself positive reinforcement for your efforts. The milestone markers are there for you to not only have mini goals, but to also provide you with small victories of progress.

By celebrating the small victories, you will become more motivated. If you wrote a chapter of you book, that is something to celebrate. If you decided to start your website and you took the first step of signing up for your domain, that is a win.

7) Awareness of the Signs

Be mindful of the signs that are coming to you. When you work to notice the signs that the pieces of your vision are coming to you, your belief will only become stronger.

For example, I went to my sudo-therapist to talk through my goals for my career. She indicated that I may want to take a different route and look at becoming more of a life coach versus a business coach. As I began doing research, I found an amazing quote from Buddha himself and added it to my social media campaign.

I have a point here, so let's get to it.

I went for a 5-mile run in a park that I rarely go to, and at the top of an overlook I took an extra second to catch my breath. As I looked around, I noticed a small statue of Buddha sitting atop of a ledge.

I was amazed as I had been looking for guidance. I had just written about this and it was the universe telling me that I was on the right track. These are the types of signs that if you take an extra moment to look around and to be more self-aware, you will notice.
